Rodenators, Warrenaters, BurrowBlasters, Tunnel Busters, Varmitgetters, WarrenBlasters, BurrowBlast? What are they?

What is Burrow Blasting

Burrow Blasting is a well known and widely used method of keeping a lid on the number of rodents on your land. This is achieved by destroying the tunnel systems and thereby reducing the available breeding tunnels.

There are a number of products on the market which all attempt in one way of another to destroy tunnel systems. Some are more effective than others. For example, hand held devices are usually less effective than remote control devices. This is because the Operator is acutely aware of his own presence when holding the gas inflow device above the tunnel to be blasted. He is therefore less likely to insert as much gas as an Operator with a remote control device. The impact of this will be that the Operator with the remote control device is more likely to complete the job effectively than the Operator with the hand held device.

The term BurrowBlaster was first used by Rural Pest Control Services Limited in early 2008. Since then a number of other manufacturers have elected to use or lay claim to the word BurrowBlaster. This is causing and has caused some confusion in the market place and this website has set out to point out the differences between the products on the market and also to make it clear as to who the companies are that are operating in this business.
