Tips

Take care of your unit

DO NOT leave out in the rain. Make sure flash arrester screen have zero obstruction on screen. they need to be looked at from time to time turn tank off and relieve pressure from gas lines when not in use

Back filling maximises the blast in the tunnel and provides a longer life for your control box at the top of the wand

BurrowBlaster  is designed to be back filled, simply kick some of the loose soil on to the foot of the wand, then step on it to pack it tight. This keeps concussion in the tunnel and noise level down.

Larger Burrows use sand bags or blast mat. The sandbag maximizes the impact by keeping the blast in the tunnel and it also protects the electronics box. The shovel handle under the wand keeps it steady.

Pack the hole with soil, use the shovel to rest the wand on, place a re-enforced sandbang

Control

You can conduct control blasts all year round, but to eradicate them it is best to hit it hard in the Autumn and Early Spring before the breeding season starts. We strongly recommend that you do not use the device during the breeding season.

Moles

Moles take a lot more concentrated activity to remove their burrows from your property. The tunnels are smaller and often blocked so one area may need multiple blasts to remove all tunnels. Work on mole tunnels should be done as soon as a new mound is seen.

Badgers

This unit is not designed for use with Badger Burrows. It is against the law to interfere with Badger Setts

Stay on the right side of the law

Use the legally approved methods of pest control such as phostoxin, ferrets and traps to remove living animals from the tunnels before using the BurrowBlaster.
